Saint John Church, the oldest active mission east of the Mississippi, became part of Sacred Heart Parish in 1960.
I have been to this church and my aunt brought me. I have a painting of the church and written on the back is the date back in 1895 when my grandparents were married there, It was the first marriage in the church. My grandparents (Burns) raised their family on 6 Canterbury TPKY. Norwich CT.. O thought you may be interested.
